[A man comes on the feed and it clear to those watching that he is neither short or tall, nor fat or thin. He is dressed in a fine suit, with a yellow bow with orange polka-dots tie to match. The only problem is that his suit is covered in blood, is that blood? It certainly looks like it.

He sports a smile, which stretches from cheek to cheek in an unnatural way. His eyes, oh those eyes, are dark, black , forgotten and soulless. They glimmer and you can feel an eerie chill down your spine as he stares into the feed. ]

Hello Listeners! OH, Ohhh! Viewers in this case! I’m sure all of you who are choosing to listen, view or both, look well off and nice! This is nothing more then an assumption of course but I am safe to assume and will assume you look nice!

Now, I have a bit of an issue, listeners. This thing…. A Strex pet, probably the new model has followed me around for a few minutes and I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be doing that. My own pet in my studio that is trained to eat mice and enjoys a good stick in the face, but this fellow…he is not eating what I give him. I am fresh out of mice! Does anyone have any that want to sacrifice for the little guy!

The shop clerk I spoke too did not have live food and it was very disappointing, but that did not stop me! Instead I suggested human flesh, since I am to assume Strex is allowing me to test out the new Strex pet model. It’s probably a Beta and they feed from the soft skin of humans, also their blood. However the clerk seemed…shocked at the inquiry.

[He shrugs and widens his smile as he looks down at the Sableye.]

We will just have to improvise little fella. Of course we need to begin your proper re-training!

Hopefully you don't mind honorifics at least, as it's a little overfamiliar for my liking otherwise - and believe me, not many things are.

I can't say I've ever heard of Desert Bluffs, either, though it sounds lovely judging by name alone.

I shouldn't mind them, but for your sake I highly recommend that you double check with me before addressing me as anything other then Kevin! If of course this acquaintance means something to you.

[The next noise that comes out of his mouth is loud, laced with hyperactivity and excitement.]

Oooooo!! Desert Bluffs! How do you know know about Desert Bluffs! It is a lovely town, in the middle of a desert. With a mountain and wonderful citizens who have grand smiles that dare to rival my own. We are a small but productive town that never leaves anything to waste. Our smiling god, Strex, looks down upon us and provides with all that we need, so that we have no worries and can remain as productive as possible.

You'll still be "Kevin" if that's what you would prefer; Kevin-san perhaps, but Kevin just the same.

[...Mannaggia. You absolutely do not know how to chill, do you, sir...]

And where would this town of yours be located? America, or...?

[His smile dissipates for a moment at the 'san' addition.]

[Ah. Well, you're effectively going to be called nothing if he can help it, outside of maybe the occasional monsieur or amore or sir, because holy overfamiliarity, Batman.]

Well, needless to say you're nowhere near there now; hopefully someone's explained that much, at least?

No. All anyone has mentioned is that these things are pokemon and I have attained a pokemon partner to train in battle.

[It's good to know that he wasn't in America. However he probably could have figured that out on his own.]

Well, no one knows exactly where we are; we seem to be in some sort of alternate world altogether, though I don't know how amenable you are to that sort of idea. It's also likely that we're from alternate worlds in relation to one another - in other words, I wouldn't be surprised if "Desert Bluffs" doesn't exist at all in the version of America that my world has, which is likely why I've never heard of your smiling god.

On the negative side, no one is entirely sure how to leave this place, or what brought us here; on the positive...well, we'll all be sent home eventually, and it will be as though no time at all has passed for us - we'll be put back exactly where we came from. We also can't die while we're here, to my knowledge, so that's a consolation as well, I suppose.

[ Whew, this guy's the excitable sort. ]

Like I said, there are different types of pokemon. Their types tell you what they're strong and weak against... and what kind of attacks they'll learn.

You'll also find that ghost types usually look like ghosts, too.

[There is a long silence that comes over him as he listens to every word and he's not sure what to say when the man finishes. It is unfortunate and he's used to shifting through dimensions, appearing in other places, and even going through a random portal. This though, he was not used to.]

Ohhhh! So it's like a brand new adventure or a new territory to scope out for an inevitable corporate take over! I'm certain that when the battles are done and at the end of the day, I will have influenced another in the ways of our Smiling God.

[He looks down to the Sableye and gently pats it's head.]

Vanessa is going to be the best pokemon she can be.

So what do you do if people reject this smiling god of yours? Or does that simply not happen?

Will the pokedex tell me more about the the strengths and weaknesses she has?Where are these gyms I've heard about and how do I battle others?

[He simply laughs.]

IT does not happen. Even when others find that they doubt Strex, I can always convince them that it is an ideal life decision. Street eventually finds it's way into the hearts of others.

[And that actually gets a laugh out of him as well, quietly. As far as he can tell, you're neither working for Aogiri or the CCG, nor are you working against them, and as far as he's concerned that both makes you categorically not his problem to worry about and renders him able to wonder just what the hell it is you plan on doing here in the future. You're...interesting, a pet curiosity maybe. Not anything to be concerned about, either way.

[He's...not really sure what he should be saying in response to that, really. At least, nothing that could give him away.]

[He beams. Glancing down at the pokemon he pats it's head softly.]

Yes, stranger! Her name is Vanessa! I dare say her smile surely rivals my own, wouldn't you agree.

[He moves the Gear to look upon the grinning Sableye and casts back quickly to his own deep twisted grin.]

[What in the...]

[Red isn't actually sure she even wants to respond to this guy, but a quick glance at the conversations that have happened so far at least give her a bit more to go on. Well, she supposes it can't hurt...]

Does this retraining involve eating human flesh?

No, no, unless of course this little darling wants to, but I was speaking of training it to eat mice. I'm sure it will it certainly has the shredders for it.

[He beams and intertwines his fingers.]

I don't think it'll eat the mice no matter what you do.

Those teeth are meant to chew through rock. That's what they eat.

Your pokedex should be able to tell you the basics of what you need to know about your pokemon. There may be some books you can look up too, if you need more information.

There's a gym in almost each town. You can't miss it. There aren't any in Cherrygrove and New Bark City though. Are you thinking of challenging the gym leaders?

It eats rocks!! Well isn't that delightful, I never thought, but surely one can be trained to eat mice.

You're... not really shattering anyone's dreams. They're there to be challenged.

Some people do it as a personal challenge... other people do it to train their pokemon... it's also a pretty good way to make money if you manage to beat them.

I don't think so.

That's like feeding nothing but vegetables to a dog. They'd just get sick.

Of course you know that the canine would be trained to accept it's food. There is always a way to make anything and anyone productive. Productivity is key, as well as persistence.

Of course if it learns to eat mice, I can give it some rocks to add as a snack.
